Ethiopia

We all arrived safely late this evening from Frankfurt. We made our way through the VISA process and customs. The taxi ride through the city brought back memories and familiar sights, sounds, and smells. There are people walking the streets. There are people gathered around garbage cans turned into roadside bonfires. I see the spires of Coptic churches and Islamic mosques. We make our way to the hotel and argue over our reservations. A late night dinner of Injira and stewed beef and now sleep. We depart early tomorrow for Uganda. I love this city and this country. Some of the most beautiful countryside exists in this wonderful and exotic place. My heart always turns towards Somalia and the many unreached Somali’s who are here. I can’t help but turn to the Lord in prayer for the many lost Somalis and Ethiopians, enslaved to false religions, separated from the love and mercy of the true God. Paul and I will awake to a sunrise Muslim call to prayer. We’ll pray. We’ll pray for the scales to fall from their eyes.
