Friday Weather Report

It is extremely warm today as the sun is shining brightly in the plains of the high desert. Quite a change from our previous local which was in the low seventies and bit overcast. There is some slight cloud coverage but not quite enough to diffuse the 115 plus degree temperature. Relatively calm seas, no hindrances or obstacles to moving about on this beautiful day. Very smooth upon entering, Dad has been very gracious and magnanimous, making our path clear- as clear as the skies. By the way, no cell reception and email may be sporadic.

We received friendly greetings, warm hugs and lots of smiles from old friends and new ones. There is much to do and we hope to spend this evening with our friends talking to Dad together after we break bread. We were reminded of our present position and the history of this place when we passed by an area where mass executions were routinely meted out by the old regime. Now that place is built up with new residences and businesses- what a change in such a short time.

What a great city this is. My initial sense, as we passed by a section of the city commonly known as the ‘Christian area’, is that Dad really cares about this place and these people and because of that; he is going to make some noise here. And Dad said to Paul one night in a vision, ‘do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent for I am with you and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.’

Paul and I will be asking Dad for his assistance and direction, as we will be traveling to the northern border as well as to the border of Iraq. I know Dad doesn’t forget anything, but if you find some time remind him of what we need. It makes me smile as I think about how he always does the right thing. Oh, and remember to thank him as well.
