The Prayer of the Righteous Availeth Much

Tomorrow Paul, Scott, and myself meet with the president of Compassion International and his program managers to discuss a partnership between Compassion and World Orphans. Please keep us in your prayers: for an affinity of the Spirit, passion for the Kingdom, and for God's will to be clear- moving us to action.

'LET US RISE UP AND BUILD' (Neh 2:18)
As the book of Nehemiah teaches, I pray that our organizations would... Work Together: the people of Israel worked side by side, with each doing his or her part.

Help One Another: the task is hard; we need each other in prayer, to encourage one another, to experience God's love from a brother, and to spur one another on.

JESUS IS MOST EVIDENT IN COMMUNITY
There is power in numbers- His power. We know this and have the Biblical record of how the power of two trumps the one:

Luke 10- Jesus sends his disciples out as two.

Acts 11- Barnabas and Paul minister for a year in Antioch.

Luke 1- Mary is not left alone as she is with child, the Lord provides the support and friendship of Elizabeth during her pregnancy with John.

As Christ said, "Where two or three are gathered there am I".

May the face of Jesus be seen in us.

AND THIS IS THE GOAL OF MINISTRY... To point others to the mighty face of Jesus. When we do this we are truly accomplishing the Great Commandment: we are loving God and truly loving our neighbor.

Thank you for your prayers.

Ecclesiastes4:9-12"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Just as the Trinity is our model, so He is sending Paul, Scott & Michael. Be on guard, ready to wield the sword of the Spirit! There is much to be done...
Godspeed!
XOXO,
Jodi
